West Brom playmaker Isaac Price set for summer international action ahead of World Cup
The Albion playmaker is the latest to be called up for international fixtures.
Albion playmaker Isaac Price is set for some early summer action for his country after his latest international call-up.
The Baggies midfielder has been a key part of the Northern Ireland international side for some time - and broke a record held by Manchester United legend George Best earlier in the season.
He has netted ten goals in 30 appearances for his country - and he will have the chance to add to that next month with Michael O’Neill’s side set to play in two friendly fixtures.
The first will come in Spain on June 4 when they face Guinea, before they make the trip to Lille as they take on France as Didier Deschamps’ side prepare for the World Cup in the USA.
It comes on the back of a campaign that saw the Baggies man net nine times for the club in 49 appearances, in what was his full season at The Hawthorns, having joined from Standard Liege in January 2025.
The upcoming friendlies come after Price and his team-mates were dreaming of a spot in this summer’s World Cup back in March, but they went down 2-0 against Italy in a play-off.
It was a mistake from Price that led to one of the goals as Northern Ireland fell short - but moving forward and looking at the Euro 2028 qualifiers later this year, the Albion man is adamant he can help his country reach a major final.
Speaking back in March, Price said: “I think we’ve all got the belief.
"We’ve all got the eagerness and that’s why it’s going to hurt so much at the moment.
"We all believed that we could do it early and surprise a few people, but obviously it wasn’t meant to be.
“But I think there’s definitely a belief that we can get to a definite major finals in the future.
"If we didn’t, I think it’d be really disappointing.
