Now Watson is hoping the injection will finally put his problems behind him and enable him to get through the rest of the season trouble free - including next weekend's mouthwatering trip to Molineux."The game against Luton was my first for two months because of the groin and hamstring problems I've had," said Watson, whose niggling injuries have restricted him to just 10 league starts this season.

"But even though I got through the game I felt an awful pain all the way through. I was just so desperate to get through 90 minutes that I played on.

"It still hurt in training on Monday and Tuesday and by Thursday it was no better.

"I'll need an injection on my groin over the weekend to try to relieve it. If everything goes well I should be able to train with the rest of the lads on Monday."

Boss Tony Mowbray still has Hibs midfield duo Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson at the top of his wanted list.

Richard Chaplow, who was due to make his third successive start at Elland Road this afternoon, has been linked with a loan move to Reading.
