Albion failed to turn up in a Black Country derby day of disappointment at Molineux on Sunday.
The Baggies were a distant second best and fortunate to only lose by a one-goal margin as the hosts’ Fer Lopez was the match-winning after a shocking Nat Phillips error.
Albion are left to stew on a limp no-show for three weeks in an extended international break, in which around half of James Morrison’s squad jet away for duties with their nations.
