Six of the best - but who’s your West Brom player of season?
Albion secured their place in the play-offs after victory over Preston North End on the Championship’s final day of the regular season.

As they prepare to face Southa mpton in the two-legged semi-final, we have selected six nominees for player of the season, and we want you to vote for your player of the season.
Cedric Kipre
The central defender has been nothing short of a revelation for the Baggies this term. His response from being farmed out to Cardiff last term has been exceptional.
Kipre has been a regular in an Albion backline that, for the most part of the campaign, has been stern and offered precious little joy to opponents. The 27-year-old has always been capable with the ball at his feet, but what will have impressed most about Kipre this season is his commitment to good, old-fashioned defending. Rock solid.
Alex Mowatt
Has simply made Albion tick this season.
Like Kipre, the midfielder was deemed surplus to requirements by Steve Bruce and sent out on loan, but he was made a key part of Carlos Corberan’s side and has delivered consistently all season.
Mowatt has a lovely left foot capable of picking a pass and unlocking a defence but it is his engine that Corberan will admire the most, so often does the former Leeds and Barnsley man set the tone physically for the Baggies.
Alex Palmer
No goalkeeper in the division recorded more clean sheets than Palmer’s 18 from 46 appearances as the Baggies’ No.1 shared the Championship top spot with Leeds’ Illan Meslier.
This was Palmer’s first season as Albion’s first-choice goalkeeper and the fact he has played every minute is a nod to his impressive consistency. Palmer particular excels in one-v-one situations and with Corberan’s style demanding an adeptness with the ball at his feet, he has shown a cool composure with his defenders in possession.
Okay Yokuslu
The popular Turk has appeared in 44 (41 starts) of Albion’s 46 games of the regular season and has once again shown he is such a classy operator in the middle of the park. At his best, Yokuslu is a joy to watch in possession and an expert at keeping hold of the ball and allowing Albion to play.
He turned 30 this season and while he may lack in some physical departments, he is a key piece in the jigsaw of Corberan’s first XI.
Darnell Furlong
No outfield player has bettered the right-back’s efforts of 44 starts and two substitute appearances in Albion’s league campaign.
Few would’ve predicted Furlong among the squad’s player of the season nominees this term but Corberan said last weekend he views Furlong as his most consistent performer. So solid has Furlong been, he has kept loanee Pipa in the cold thanks to reliable defensive displays and an energy and physicality valued by Corberan.
Mikey Johnston
Dubbed Albion’s Magic Man shortly into his January loan switch from Celtic – it proves just how big the winger’s impact has been given he has only had four months or so in the Black Country.
The Republic of Ireland international’s seven goals and several match-winning displays have been a huge factor in helping Corberan’s men over the line into the play-offs.
His remarkable month of six goals – many screamers – between February and March dragged the Baggies forward. Even of late, with goals more scarce, Johnston’s performances have remained so strong. What a talent.
