Lewis Cox's West Brom player ratings as two hit 8s despite Leicester defeat
Albion performed well but slipped to a gut-wrenching 2-1 defeat at title-chasing Leicester City.

Baggies correspondent Lewis Cox rates the performances of the visiting players as Carlos Corberan's side made it successive defeats with two games left to secure a Championship play-off spot.
Alex Palmer
Initial save from Vardy for first stunning but let down by colleagues reacting. Helpless for equaliser. Otherwise little to do. 7
Darnell Furlong
Had some good moments and attacked plenty. Touch sometimes loose and shot wide. But let Vardy beat him for second goal. 6
Kyle Bartley
Both he and Kipre had a good afternoon save for being guilty of losing Vardy for first goal. Otherwise defended well and found woodwork with header. 7
Cedric Kipre
A star performer but also at fault for the opener. He otherwise defender impeccably with key clearances. Stunning assist for Wallace goal. 7
Okay Yokuslu
Interesting role predominantly in a changed back three. Did well with it by and large but caught out to concede penalty. Missed early chance. 6
Conor Townsend
Kept his winger quiet at times but Fatawu skinned him for Leicester’s second, where left-back was beaten too easily. 6
Yann M’Vila
Surprise start and early booking did him no favours but trod the tightrope well. Loose passes at times, unlucky with shot off line. 6
Alex Mowatt
Seemed to rediscover his energy in Albion’s midfield and has a positive influence driving his side on. 7
Grady Diangana
A wasteful afternoon. A threat in getting on the end of chances but he could’ve had a hat-trick. Not sharp enough from close range. 6
Jed Wallace
Led the line for his side and performed well. A threat out centrally and wide and kept defenders honest. Nice late finish. 8
Mikey Johnston
Albion’s star man. Electric and could’ve had early hat-trick but for goalline clearance and save. Excellent all-round attacking play. 8
