Hull City bid for West Brom target Robert Snodgrass
Hull City have made a bid for Norwich City's Robert Snodgrass and moved ahead of Albion in the race to sign the midfielder.
Hull have agreed a £7m fee with relegated Norwich for Scotland international Snodgrass, who is on Albion's summer watchlist.
Reports last week suggested that the Baggies had entered talks with the Canaries over a deal for Snodgrass but Hawthorns officials did not make their interest official.
Tigers boss Steve Bruce is keen to add the midfielder to his side after completing a deal to sign Tottenham's Jake Livermore.
The 26-year-old Glaswegian is one of the players on the club's summer watchlist as they look to rebuild their squad following a dismal 2013-14 campaign.
Any concrete move could throw Albion into another transfer tussle with Hull after they beat the Tigers to the signature of defender Jolean Lescott.
The Baggies are seriously considering a rival offer after Snodgrass caught their eye despite Norwich's relegation last season.
Elsewhere, ex-Baggies loanee Matej Vydra has returned to former club Watford on a season-long loan from Udinese.
