'Similar to Heggem': George Campbell transfer fee debate amid Celtic interest in West Brom's £1.5m defender
The US international enjoyed a successful first campaign in English football despite Albion’s relegation battle.
George Campbell became something of an unsung hero among Albion fans during his first season at the club - despite the Baggies facing a relegation battle.
The £1.5m defender signed from Montreal last summer spent much of the first half of the season at right back before nailing down a spot as Albion’s first choice central defender.
He became an important source of goals with four across the campaign - including a stunner in a 1-1 draw against Sheffield United.
Following the end of the campaign, Campbell is reportedly on the radar of SPL champions Celtic following a successful first season in English football.
On the latest Baggies Broadcast, Jonny Drury and Lewis Cox discuss the reported interest and look at what sort of transfer fee Albion could command, making comparison’s to Torbjorn Heggem and his move to Bologna.
