Exclusive: West Brom interested in Minnesota's Eric Ramsay in head coach hunt
Albion are interested in Minnesota United boss Eric Ramsay as a candidate to succeed Ryan Mason at The Hawthorns, it is understood.
Ramsay, 34, is admired by owners Bilkul and was a strong candidate to land The Hawthorns role during the Baggies' search for a new boss last summer.
As reported by the Express & Star last summer, it is believed Ramsay was in Albion's final two candidates, alongside Mason, for the post.
The highly-regarded former Chelsea and Manchester United coach has been in place at MLS outfit Minnesota for almost two years.
He made waves in the 2025 campaign across the pond and while working with a modest budget helped the club reach the play-offs with a finish of fourth in the Western Conference. It included a memorable 4-1 victory over star-studded Inter Miami.
Ramsay's side fell at the semi-final hurdle with a 1-0 defeat to San Diego in November.
Minnesota are set to begin pre-season preparation with their MLS campaign to begin in late February, but the head coach has once again captured the attention of Albion's hierarchy as they assess options to succeed Mason.
Ramsay, who in 2024 became the youngest head coach in MLS history when he checked in after leaving Manchester United, agreed a deal until after the 2027. He is known to have admirers on the European continent and was recently linked with Strasbourg in France after Liam Rosenior's exit to Chelsea.
Albion's financial fair play and profit and sustainability (PSR) position means an out-of-work head coach could be more desirable, where compensation payment would not be required.

However, it is believed some compensation packages could prove bigger hurdles than others.
Ramsay was born in Shropshire but raised in Mid Wales and played Futsal for Wales. He cut his teeth as a youth coach at Swansea and hometown club Shrewsbury before a caretaker stint at the Football League outfit.
He was poached by Chelsea while still in his 20s having become the youngest British coach to obtain a UEFA Pro Licence.
It is understood the Baggies are unlikely to hold talks with the out-of-work former Southampton and Rangers boss Russell Martin, while a move for ex-head coach Carlos Corberan - under pressure at Valencia - is viewed as a non-starter.
Bilkul have previously admired England under-21 boss Lee Carsley, the two-time European champion, who could be open to a move into senior club management.
Michael Carrick, out of work since he was sacked by Middlesbrough last summer, is highly-regarded but is currently linked with a caretaker stint at Old Trafford.
