'Can we be killers first?' - West Brom's James Morrison optimistic sequence will end
Albion have developed an unwanted habit of giving opponents a leg-up in games by falling behind.
James Morrison has called on his side to learn to be “killers” - but is confident the rut of falling behind in games will become a thing of the past.
Albion had to make do with a point from rock-bottom Preston on Saturday where an unwanted run of shipping the first goal extended to a sixth match.
The wider record is eight in 12 Championship games this term and Morrison admitted the sequence is a concern, but is certain that once his side hit the front in a game, the momentum will switch.
"It's important that we keep going and it'll change,” Morrison said. “I'm positive of that.
"Once you get the momentum train that I talk about, when we get that through, we can continue.

"But this league's not easy. It's not. On paper on Saturday we'd have thought we should win but it's not.
"It's always hard. And they made it difficult at times but we should've had more than enough.”
Albion remain fifth in the Championship despite dropping two points in Lancashire, with another away day on the horizon, at third-placed West Ham.
Morrison was frustrated as his side spurned countless promising positions at Deepdale with a poor final pass, a wayward cross or a decision not to shoot.

But he feels an opposition opening goal is currently sparking his playing into life and sharpening their focus in front of goal. Aune Heggebo was once again the substitute hero to continue his recent renaissance.
"It sort've just sparks us into life - 'oh we've got to score',” Morrison continued.
"We (then) pick the right pass and do the right things, but not 'can we be killers first?'"
