Alex Palmer debate: Why former keeper could be decent West Brom loan option

The Albion academy graduate left in January 2025.

Former Albion keeper Alex Palmer endured a tough campaign for Ipswich - despite the Tractor Boys returning to the top flight at the first time of asking.

Palmer, an Albion academy graduate, spent many years out on loan before making his Baggies bow and nailing down the number one spot.

But in January 2025, he moved to East Anglia in a deal worth up to £5m.

After impressing in the Premier League, Palmer started the season as number one in the Championship but lost his place and played only 12 times all season.

With Albion potentially looking at adding another keeper to their ranks this summer - Lewis Cox and Jonny Drury look at whether they could eye up a possible loan deal for their former shot stopper.
