Where does Eric Ramsay's winless start as West Brom boss stack up in history?
Head coach Eric Ramsay is aiming for a first Albion win at the ninth time of asking on Tuesday night against Charlton.
It has been a desperately disappointing start for all concerned, not least the Baggies boss, as the club have slumped further towards the Championship drop zone.
It puts the 34-year-old as approaching a club-record for the longest winless run to the start of a tenure as Albion manager or head coach.
There have been some calamitous starts to reigns at The Hawthorns over the years and Ramsay will be desperate to record a victory against the Addicks to ensure he does not continue in those conversations.
There are big question marks over Ramsay's future despite just six weeks at the helm and it could take victory against Charlton for him to remain in the hotseat for Saturday's crunch clash at second-bottom Oxford.
But how does Ramsay's winless start stand in the Baggies' record books?
Bobby Gould - seven games without a win
Former Arsenal, Wolves and Albion frontman Gould built an extensive management CV through the 1980s before his appointment at The Hawthorns in February 1991.
Suffice to say his spell is not remembered well and Gould endured a torrid start he was unable to turn around after succeeding Brian Talbot.
Gould opened up with a Hawthorns stalemate against West Ham before six straight defeats followed, including two at home.
His first win, 2-1 at home to Swindon on April 1 with Graham Roberts (penalty) and Steve Parkin on target, was no joke and neither was the end of the campaign as Albion won just once again and succumbed to relegation to the third tier.
Pepe Mel - seven games
Spaniard Mel succeed Steve Clarke in January 2014 with Albion battling relegation from the top flight.
He would go on to record just three wins - only one at home - from 17 games at the helm for a tenure that lasted until the end of the season.

A first win came at the seventh attempt, with Stephane Sessegnon and Youssouf Mulumbu on target in a 2-1 win at Swansea. His three wins were crucially just enough to see Albion survive in 17th.
Alan Pardew - eight games

Pardew recorded four draws and four defeats from his first eight games in charge before an FA Cup victory at lower-league Exeter.
He started with a goalless home draw against Crystal Palace in the top flight. There were also home draws with Everton and Arsenal.
Salomon Rondon and Jay Rodriguez netted at Exeter. Pardew won his first Premier League game next up, 2-0 at Brighton, but was dismissed on April 2 and Albion were relegated.
Bryan Robson - 10 games
It ended with jubilant scenes of the Great Escape, but former midfield hero Robson's start after Gary Megson in November 2004 was a tough one.
Albion lost 2-1 at home to Robson's former club Middlesbrough in his opener, one of six defeats from his opening 10 games, with four draws to boot.
The victory finally arrived on January 8 in the FA Cup at Preston with Robert Earnshaw twice on target. An important league win at home to Manchester City followed, before four more and the improbable became reality.
