West Brom's defensive concerns grow after latest setback as boss responds
Albion are checking on the latest defensive injury blow after Chris Mepham limped off in the goalless draw against Stoke.
Mepham was a key part of an improved Albion display as Eric Ramsay ground out a point at home to the mid-table Potters.
The point earned was enough to move the Baggies out of the Championship's bottom three.
But it could be at some cost as Mepham, who caught the eye with an improved display alongside centre-back colleague Nat Phillips, limped off with a hamstring injury in the final 10 minutes and is a doubt for Tuesday night's trip to Birmingham City.
"I would just cross my fingers, I suppose, I've got no idea as to the severity of it," Ramsay said.
