Clubs have until 11pm tomorrow to make signings with the Baggies hopeful they can get two new recruits through the door.

One of those players is likely to be Celta Vigo midfielder Okay Yokuslu.

The Turkey international was left out of Vigo's squad to face Granada on Saturday and instead headed to the UK to finalise details for a loan switch.

Yokuslu has made 14 appearances this season but the Spanish side are open to offers for the 26-year-old who can also play at centre-back.

The arrival of Yokuslu puts an end to Albion's protracted search for a defensive midfielder.

But they remain keen to take advantage of the one domestic loan they are still able to make before the deadline passes.

The Baggies were hoping to sign Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles on a temporary basis.

But Leicester and Southampton are have jumped ahead of Albion in the race to land the England international.

The Express & Star understands Albion have shown an interest in signing Tottenham's Japhet Tanganga on loan – a player who can play at right-back and centre-halve.

But there are also other players they are keen on.

Meanwhile, the Express & Star understands there is no truth in reports linking the Baggies with a renewed move for Christian Benteke.

Albion were interested in signing the former Villa forward earlier this month.

But that interest has ended now that they have Mbaye Diagne.

As well as incomings, there could also be some departures from The Hawthorns on deadline day.

According to reports, both Blackburn and Preston North End are interested in signing Cedric Kipre on loan.

The defender almost joined Rovers in the summer but opted for the Baggies at the last minute.

But he is yet to appear for the club in the Premier League.

Boss Sam Allardyce has also confirmed he would be willing to listen to offers for winger Kamil Grosicki.
