West Brom's Callum Robinson should be back for Manchester United

Callum Robinson should be able to feature for Albion at Manchester United next weekend despite the striker’s positive test for Covid-19.

Robinson tested positive for coronavirus while away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland and will now miss their clash against England tonight as well as the Nations League games against Wales and Bulgaria.

Anyone who tests positive for the virus has to self-isolate for 10 days. But the Express & Star understands Robinson’s result came from a test he had on Monday.

That means, if feeling well, he will be able to join in with Albion training late next week, ahead of the trip to Old Trafford on November 21.

That will be a huge boost for the Baggies, who played with a front two for the first time this season against Spurs.

Speaking after that match, head coach Slaven Bilic said playing two strikers is something he is exploring to address their lack of goals – with his side having netted just once in their last five outings.

Robinson’s positive result is the second time Albion have been rocked by coronavirus in the past week.

Both Matheus Pereira and Branislav Ivanovic missed Saturday’s defeat against Tottenham after testing positive.

Those tests were carried out last Tuesday – with the result arriving on Wednesday – and gave Robinson the all-clear.

Albion’s Dara O’Shea has remained with the Ireland squad and could feature against England tonight.
