The Croatian midfielder was integral for Slaven Bilic's side in the club's promotion campaign last season, and was one of the head coach's top priorities in the transfer market.

Having returned to Benfica at the conclusion of last season, the 25-year-old has now re-joined Albion in another season-long loan.

He joins the likes of Matheus Pereira, Grady Diangana and Callum Robinson in returning to The Hawthorns.

Krovinovic made 43 appearances for Albion last season, scoring three times - and he admitted he was delighted to return to the Black Country for their Premier League campaign.

"It’s an absolute pleasure to be back with family." he said.

"I know it took a little bit of time but now I’m here and that’s the most important thing.

"I said to my brother that it’s like coming back to school after the summer holidays. To see your friends is one of the best things in your life."

He further bolsters Bilic's midfield options, following the signing of Conor Gallagher from Chelsea earlier this month.

The club remain keen on adding a striker, with Albion continuing to negotiate a deal with Huddersfield Town for Karlan Grant.
