West Brom fans shared their joy as the Baggies booked their place in the top flight following a 2-2 draw with QPR.
Albion fought back from 1-0 behind to take the lead through Grady Diangana and Callum Robinson, and needed to match Brentford's result down to a draw to ensure promotion was achieved through the second automatic spot.
However, there was a nervy finish as QPR equalised and Brentford drew themselves level with less than 30 minutes remaining in both games.
But the Bees couldn't find a winner, and saw Barnsley secure a surprise win, ensuring Albion would achieve promotion to the Premier League, two years after their relegation.
