Here we rate the players.

Sam Johnstone

The keeper hasn't had a lot to do in recent weeks and that continued here with Swansea managing just two shots on target. Johnstone made a decent save to parry away a fierce Matt Grimes strike. Had one moment of indecision when both he and Kyle Bartley got in a muddle. But otherwise his decision making and distribution was good. 6

Dara O’Shea

Another excellent showing from the academy graduate who won't come up against many better players in the Championship than Andre Ayew. O'Shea, though, largely kept the Ghana international in check. He also impressed when moved to centre-back. 8

Kyle Bartley

Back at one of his former sides, Bartley put in a very steady showing at centre-back – and made one outstanding interception to cut out an Ayew cross with Rhian Brewster waiting. Solid in the air and composed on the ball, the 28-year-old was hugely disappointed to be subbed. 7

Semi Ajayi

A really classy showing from the Nigerian international who simply didn't put a foot wrong. Ajayi read the game exceptionally well, made a number of well-timed challenges while his passing was also good. Had Brewster in his pocket from practically the first whistle to the last. 9

Conor Townsend

Kieran Gibbs may be fit but Townsend fully deserves his place in this Albion team. Here he built on his impressive form by keeping Aldo Kalulu in check. However, with his crossing ability, the Baggies would have benefited from him getting forward more often. 7

Romaine Sawyers

Back in the side following his suspension, Sawyers was really impressive in the first-half with the midfielder using the ball well and doing every thing he could to dictate the tempo of the game. Was quieter after the interval but there is no doubt he has been missed recently. 8

Jake Livermore

The skipper had the best chance of the game right at the end but blazed over when he should have scored. Livermore was critical of his own performance when speaking post-match. But he worked hard and did his best to win the ball high up the pitch. 6

Filip Krovinovic

Krovinovic has been excellent in recent weeks with the Croatian showing he's got all the attributes needed to excel in central midfield. There were spells here where he was really bright and inventive on the ball. But along with others, he didn't provide enough support for the isolated Hal Robson-Kanu. 6

Matheus Pereira

The Brazilian was unfortunate to see a number of defence-splitting balls be narrowly cut out, particularly in the first-half. But overall, this was another quiet display with the 23-year-old unable to truly stamp his authority on the game. 6

Callum Robinson

The Sheffield United loanee tested Freddie Woodman with a low drive which the keeper got down well to parry away. He also almost connected with a dangerous cross from Dara O'Shea. Overall, though, Robinson was quiet and replaced in the second half. 6

Hal Robson-Kanu

The striker was praised by Slaven Bilic post match - with the head coach believing the Welshman's hold-up and link-up play was good enough to have led to more chances being created for his side. The 30-year-old certainly did his best despite cutting an isolated figure. 7

SUBS

Kamil Grosicki (for Robinson 59)

The Polish international added extra zip to Albion's attack and was a touch unfortunate to see some decent crosses go to waste. 7

Darnell Furlong (for Bartley 59)

The full-back tried to get at Swansea with his pace. Missed one half chance at the end when he smashed over from the edge of the box. 6

Kyle Edwards (for Pereira 78) N/A

A very lively cameo.

Not used: Bond, Gibbs, Harper, Austin
