The Baggies are in the process of signing the 17-year-old forward, with a deal almost completed.

Windsor has previously been on the books of Swindon Town and Southampton, and was reportedly being monitored by Chelsea while playing for Cirencester.

He was also wanted by Bristol City this summer but the left-footed forward, who can play up front or on the wing, is now set to join Albion’s under-23s.

Windsor, who turns 18 in September, scored six goals in seven starts for Cirencester in the Southern League Division One South last season.

He has played for England Schoolboys and also helped Hartpury College win the Under-18s National Championship last season.
