The 27-year-old is reportedly flying over to England today to complete a medical ahead of a season-long loan with the Baggies.

Albion already have a £10.6million fee agreed with Fenerbahce for central midfielder Josef de Souza but Pulis is now turning his attention to Krychowiak.

The double Europa League winner is a defensive midfielder who can also play centre-back.

Last summer he moved from Sevilla to PSG in a deal worth £28million but he’s struggled for minutes in Paris, and only played 11 Ligue 1 games.

First team coach Gerry Francis carries out a lot of scouting for head coach Tony Pulis, and he confirmed this morning that Krychowiak was a player he’s been watching.

“I’ve seen him quite a bit,” said Francis. “I’ve seen him on video as well.

“From our point of view it’s going to be quite busy for the next couple of days.

“Hopefully we can get the players we want, and keep who we want too. I expect West Bromwich Albion is a name you’re going to be hearing a lot over the next 24 hours.”

Albion are hoping to finalise a £7m deal for left-back Kieran Gibbs today after the Arsenal player completed his medical late last night.

“I like Keiran,” said Francis. “He would be a good asset to us if that’s all done and dusted.

“He’s got a lot of experience at the highest level with Arsenal and in European football. He’s very good going forward, I think we’ll work hard with him and turn him into a better player defensively.”
