Williams out of Cobblers clash
Walsall loan star Sam Williams will miss Saddlers' game at Northampton on Saturday with a hip injury.
The Villa youngster has returned to the Premier League club to have treatment on the complaint and manager Chris Hutchings is resigned to losing him against the Cobblers.
He said: "Sam has got a hip flexer problem and there's a doubt about him being available for Saturday. We've notified Villa of the injury and he's gone back to see them, as he's had problems around that area before.
"I'm not sure if they're going to send him for a scan to check it but I think he'll be ruled out for Saturday."
Hutchings admitted losing the striker, who has scored once in five substitute appearances, was a loss but it would hand a chance to someone else.
He said: "He's certainly contributed in all the games and I've been very pleased with his contribution. It is a blow but we have to deal with it.
"A door closes for someone and opens for someone else so that's how we've got to look at it."
