Ryan Stirk wants to continue adding goals to his game after scoring in Walsall’s 2-1 defeat at Mansfield Town.

The midfielder netted his second goal of the campaign to equalise for the Saddlers against his former employers.

Stirk is pleased to have become a first team regular having started every league game this term, and is hungry to chip in with more goals.

“The gaffer has been great with me. Since I’ve come, I have played every league game, which is what I wanted,” Stirk said. “I was at Birmingham before where I didn’t play as much and I was getting a little bit frustrated. I am definitely working hard to chip in with the goals. Having Brandon (Comley) in there gives me more licence to get forward because he can do that sitting role and do things that others can’t. It allows me to get forward, which is definitely a good thing.”
