Walsall match-winner Priestley Farquharson on bouncing back with a brace
Walsall defender Priestley Farquharson says he will "never" go into his shell, after responding to his mistake earlier in the week with a match-winning brace at Shrewsbury Town.
Farquharson's error led to Rushian Hepburn-Murphy's opener in the 2-0 home defeat against MK Dons on Monday, but the 28-year-old played an instrumental role in ending the Saddlers' seven-match winless run just five days later.
He opened the scoring in the first half and bagged his brace to extend his season tally to five goals with his third in two games.
He said: "It's football, you make mistakes. There are people in the Premier League on £300k a week and they make mistakes.
"It happens but you have to forget about it. It's done and you've just got to push on because the best players in the world do it.
"Mentality is key. You can't just go in your shell and that's something I will never do.
"I just try to make amends and do better next time to bounce back."

Walsall registered their first win in any competition since January 17 to lift themselves to within two points of the play-off spots with games in hand on a number of teams above them.
Now, the task for the team is to back that up when they host Fleetwood Town on Tuesday.
"You could see how much we wanted that win. We just had to defend for our lives and then show composure when we do that," Farquharson continued.
"Not just defend and then boot it back. We defended solidly and it was a professional performance.
He added on his match-winning celebration: "I actually didn't work on that one. I thought it was the right celebration just to let out all of the energy, to show the fans that we're on it and I mean it.
"I'm focused and it was just in the moment. I don't plan celebrations but maybe I need to start [he laughs]."
