Walsall boss Mat Sadler salutes fan support after impressive new figures revealed
Mat Sadler has praised the “brilliant” support from the Walsall fan base after home attendances reached a 16-year high this season.

Bescot attracted an average of 5,618 supporters per home game (their highest since 2007/08) and Sadler is hopeful his team can give supporters even more reason to pack out the stadium next year.
He said: “The support has been brilliant. It’s also worth noting that we’ve played some Tuesday night games with 60 fans from the opposition and to continually still have attendances going up is a testament to the hard work going on behind the scenes.
“We’re trying to build the football club for not just a season worth of players but as a centre point of the community. I don’t want that to go amiss.
“It’s amazing that the attendances have gone up and hopefully we’ll give them moments and games next season for the attendances to continuing going up.
“I’d also like to echo the away support as well because that’s been great.”
