Walsall boss Mat Sadler keen to promote youth
Walsall head coach Mat Sadler insists he wants to create a pathway for academy players into the first team.

Joe Foulkes, Ronan Maher, and Marvellous Onabirekhanlen all starred in the 4-1 victory at Leamington on Tuesday, while academy left-back Tom Owen was also introduced during the second half.
And Sadler has vowed to provide young players with opportunities.
Sadler said: “If you’re good enough, you need to have a pathway.
“We are reuniting the football club with the academy, which is an important thing. In pre-season, I’ve been asking Rob for a couple of the lads in the academy.
“It’s crucial those lads feel valued, feel like there’s an opportunity, and if they’re good enough, I’ll include them.
“But one thing for certain is that their development is at the forefront of my mind.”
