Walsall boss Mat Sadler hopeful on returning Evan Weir
Walsall boss Mat Sadler has been told Evan Weir’s foot injury is “not too serious” as he expects the young defender to join up with the squad for pre-season as planned.

Weir suffered a cut in his foot that need stitches during Drogheda United’s 2-2 draw against Derry City on April 13.
The 22-year-old, who has scored four goals in 11 appearances this term, missed Drogheda’s 1-0 defeat at Bohemians last Friday.
The left-back penned an 18-month deal with Walsall in the winter before returning to the Drogs on loan and Sadler is looking forward to welcoming him into the squad.
“Nothing too serious is what I’ve heard,” Sadler revealed.
“He has played very well out there. I’ve watched all of his games and he has been very good.
“Obviously he is not with our medical team but hopefully it’s nothing too serious.
“He is another one who is chomping at the bit to be here in pre-season and show what he is all about.”
