Wright, aged 22, signed on a two-month loan deal and could make his debut against Notts County on Saturday.
And manager Richard Money revealed Saddlers are lining up a deal to bring in a new striker from Scandinavia in January.
Money said: "Tommy is 6ft tall, he is aggressive, and he will add a different dimension to our forward play. He is one we've known about all season.
"We are already in negotiations for a centre-forward to join us in January from Scandinavia and we are pretty hopeful that transfer will go through.
"I can't elaborate any more than that because there are a number of big clubs in Scandinavia who are chasing his signature.
"If it goes through I'm confident he will be an excellent signing for us."
James Constable is off for a two-month loan spell at Kidderminster.
Money also ruled out the prospect of former Villa striker Stan Collymore heading to Bescot after his agent said a West Midlands club has approached him.
