After last week's shocker at Sutton - the Saddlers responded in perfect fashion and were two up at the break through Isaac Hutchinson and Freddie Draper.
Hutchinson then made it three early in the second half, before McCauley Bone pulled one back for the managerless Gills, who had seen interim boss Keith Millen sent off early in the game.
They weathered a storm and Hutchinson headed home to complete his hat-trick and complete a superb victory late on.
