Isaac Hutchinson targeting strong Walsall start
Walsall midfielder Isaac Hutchinson is hopeful that pre-season will provide them with a platform to start the new campaign strongly.
Hutchinson rescued a draw against Rochdale on Friday night with a stunning strike.
The Saddlers are yet to taste defeat in pre-season – winning 4-1 at Leamington, and drawing against Villa and Rochdale.
“It’s a time when we can work on what we’re trying to implement with the gaffer,” Hutchinson said.
“So there are going to be mistakes. There are going to be times when it doesn’t come off and that could cost us games.
“But at the same time, we want to win every game. If we can go through pre-season unbeaten, and take that mentality and momentum into the season then that’s even better.
“That’s what we plan to do.”
