"Loved every minute" - Interim Darren Byfield reacts to Walsall's win at Crewe

Darren Byfield says he "loved every minute" as Walsall emerged 3-0 winners at Crewe Alexandra in his first game as interim head coach.

Albert Adomah opened the scoring inside four minutes before turning provider for Aaron Pressley to make it 2-0 seven minutes from time. 

38-year-old Adomah then capped a dazzling display by adding a third with a delightful dinked finish in stoppage time.

That saw Walsall start the post-Mat Sadler era by ending a three-match losing streak which saw them climb to 10th.

And for former Saddlers striker Byfield, it was a proud moment for himself and the club.

"I loved it - every single minute of it. It's funny because I just needed 3 o'clock to come and I'm like a big kid," Byfield smiled. 

"I'm so proud of them and the staff. All of them have helped me massively and we're all a team.
