Walsall boss Mat Sadler nominated for League Two September managerial award
Walsall boss Mat Sadler has been nominated for the League Two manager of the month award for September.
Sadler oversaw a four-match unbeaten run at the helm for the Saddlers last month, which comprised of three wins and one draw.
That has seen Walsall climb to the League Two summit, and they've since beaten Bristol Rovers to extend their unbeaten run to eight games in all competitions (winning seven, drawing once).
Former Walsall boss Darrell Clarke, whose Bristol Rovers side lost 2-1 at Bescot on Saturday, is also among the nominees.
Swindon Town chief Ian Holloway, and Micky Mellon, who is at the helm of newly-promoted Oldham Athletic, complete the four-man shortlist.
The manager of the month judging panel is made up of former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports pundit and ex-Saddlers striker Don Goodman and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
The winner will be announced on Friday, with Walsall loanee Daniel Kanu also among the nominees for the PFA Fans' League Two player of the month for September.
Kanu, who is on loan from Championship outfit Charlton Athletic, scored three times in four appearances for the Saddlers last month.
Aaron Pressley has also been named in the EFL's League Two team of the week following his match-winning brace on the weekend.
