Read the game well and quietly went about his business extinguishing any fires. His race was ran when he came off on the hour though.

Very, very tidy on the ball. Dealt with his defensive duties expertly and his pass also set-up Kanu to score Walsall's third.

A tad loose in possession at times but never shirked a tackle. Faded somewhat after the break and was replaced on the hour.

Energetic as always, playing a key role in the press, but looked a little erratic on the ball at times, lacking composure in key moments.

Tranmere's first goal did come down his side but he got through some good work down the channel. Never one to give up on a lost cause.
