Mat Sadler: Walsall 'hurting' after late Crawley equaliser

Mat Sadler says it "hurts" to concede so late after Crawley Town rescued a 1-1 draw against Walsall at Bescot.

After a flat first half display, Walsall were superb in the second half and looked to be heading home with three points when Danny Johnson scored in the 88th minute.

The forward marked his appearance from the bench by converting into an empty net from unmissable range after Brandon Comley crashed an effort against the inside of the post.

However, there was to be late heartbreak with Danilo Orsi salvaging a point in the 94th minute with a deft finish over Owen Evans.

Sadler felt his side deserved the victory, and believes it felt like two points dropped rather than a point gained.

"It certainly does (feel like two points dropped). Mostly because we earned it and when someone takes something away from you, which you earned, it hurts," Sadler said.
