The 25-year-old right-back left Mansfield Town in May after three-and-a-half years at the One Call stadium.

He has previously made five appearances in the Championship after starting out with Bolton in 2013.

“I’m delighted to be able come here and show what I can do,” he said.

“I like to defend, keep clean sheets and I’m here to do that.

“I’ve had a few conversations with the manager about where he thinks I can get to and how I can help the team and everything he said has been really positive so I’m happy to be here.

Saddlers boss Darrell Clarke was pleased to be able add more strength in depth to his defence and is looking forward to working with the former Bolton man.

“I’m really pleased to add Hayden to the squad,” Clarke added.

“He’s a talented player who will give us depth and competition in defence and he will be a great addition to the team.”

White will wear the number 24 shirt.
