Walsall defender joins Tamworth after contract expires

Young Walsall defender Luke Little has joined Tamworth permanently after his contract expired.

The 19-year-old right-back arrived at the club from Wolves in November 2014 and signed a short term professional contract with Walsall in May 2019.

He has impressed while on loan at the non-league club but his contract expired on January 1 and the youngster has now signed a deal with the Southern League Premier Division Central club.

Little was one of three Walsall players whose contracts expire in January, alongside Wes McDonald and Jack Kiersey.

Manager Darrell Clarke said: "Luke was a brilliant lad but he was somebody that suffered with little injuries from the get go in pre-season.

"He'd previously been doing quite well for Tamworth during his loan spell and we'd like to wish him all the best for the future."
