The 32-year-old hasn't featured for the Saddlers this season after being told by manager Jon Whitney he is no longer part of his plans.

O'Connor, who is originally from Birmingham, has been a mainstay in Walsall's side ever since joining the club from Derby in 2014.

He amassed more than 100 appearances in his time at the Banks’s Stadium and was named vice-captain just 12 months ago.

“I’ve enjoyed my three years at Walsall and I’ll take lots of good memories from my time here,” said O’Connor.

“I really want to thank the fans for all their support in my time here, and I wish the club all the best.

“I’m so happy to have had my family come to watch me every week.”
