The in-form striker reckons the team have shown they have ridden out the rocky patch which threatened the season.

Dean Smith's Saddlers have risen to 14th in League One, 14 points clear of the relegation zone, after four wins from their last five games.

It ended a run of 16 winless outings and, ahead of Sunday's trip to Preston, four-goal Brandy insisted they have confounded the critics.

He said: "Definitely. We had a good start and people were with us and then we went through a patch and people were 'what's going on? Blah, blah, blah.'

"Now we are back to winning ways people are back on our side. We need people to stick with us through thick and thin and some people did that and some didn't.

"We are a team and we'll stick together and we know we have to entertain the fans and win games.

"We have always had faith in the manager, he's relaxed, and knows what he's doing tactically."
