Monique Robinson’s first-half penalty was followed by Riya Mannu’s stunning long-range strike to claim a victory that leaves the Baggies three points behind leaders Rugby Borough.

And goalscorer Mannu believes ‘togetherness’ has been key to their recent run - which they will hope to carry into the FA Women’s Cup first-round stage at home to Notts County on Sunday (2pm).

She said: “It was all about getting three points today. It’s a very tough place to come; a lot of teams struggle here, so the togetherness was really good from the group today.

“We went toe to toe with them in terms of physicality. We won all our duels and individual battles, we pressed really well in the second half.

“I didn’t think they could really handle how we were causing them problems, so we handled the situation really well.”
