Yeltz knocked out of Southern League Challenge Cup

Halesowen Town’s Southern League Challenge Cup journey ended at the first hurdle after conceding in stoppage-time to Redditch United.

The Reds took a first-half lead, just after the Yeltz had hit the post, but it looked like the game was going to penalties when James Roberts levelled five minutes from time.

However, there was still time for Redditch to win it in the 92nd minute.

Ahead of the game, the Yeltz announced they had promoted several of their under-21s into the first-team squad.

Defenders Joab Wheatley and Matthew Nicholds and midfielders Akara Glass, Bradleigh Ward and Shane Grainger have all registered with the first team, with everyone except Nicholds featuring on the bench last night.
