Unai Emery look towards Aston Villa future
Unai Emery says there is “no time to waste” as Villa chase a new European adventure.
After defeat to Olympiacos in the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League in Athens on Thursday, Villa return to these shores to host Liverpool on Monday night.
And they will secure a step up to Champions League football with victory – or if Tottenham lose to Burnley today.
Emery wrote on Instagram: “Proud of the players and the fans. Congratulations to Olympiakos. We left our effort together at Villa Park, Edinburgh, Warsawa, Alkmaar, Mostar, Amsterdam, Lille and Athens. This journey showed us how demanding is Europe and we must be better prepared for the last step. No doubt that we will do it. Don’t stop believing. No time to waste. See you on Monday! We need all your energy! UTV”
