Wolves ‘join race’ for Hibernian midfielder

TeamTALK have claimed Wolves are set to challenge Southampton and West Ham United for Hibernian midfielder Josh Mulligan.

23-year-old Mulligan scored three goals and set-up five more in 33 appearances for Hibs in all competitions last term.

Wolves have reportedly already made initial enquiries about Mulligan along with West Ham.

However, Hibernian remain in a strong position at the negotiating table - with Mulligan still having three years left on his deal.

Villa linked with Woltemade

Aston Villa are interested in signing Newcastle United striker Nick Woltemade - according to Spanish outlet AS.

As per the report, Aston Villa could meet the Magpies’ asking price in the region of £56.4million, although Woltemade reportedly has a number of other suitors.

Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring his situation, after a difficult debut campaign in the Premier League.

The German international, who is currently playing at the World Cup, cost Newcastle £69million to prise from VfB Stuttgart last summer.

Woltemade has scored eight goals and set-up three more in 33 Premier League appearances.
