Fans left in shock at Villa Park change
Villa fans have reacted with shock after being told their seats are being moved less than 24 hours before they were due to renew their season tickets.
A large number of fans were informed via email on Sunday that their seats were being renumbered – but given no details where they were being moved to.
Last month, 900 fans were told they were being moved to make way for more corporate seating in other areas of the ground.
Some supporters are now also having their seat changed with the club promising to give them the ‘most comparable seat’ to their current one, and many are unhappy at the change.
The email read: “The club is progressing with the development of Villa Park in order to turn the stadium complex into a first-class supporter experience.
“That development starts this summer with the installation of a new area of licensed standing, additional seats in the stadium bowl to increase capacity for supporters, and new hospitality areas across a range of price points, all providing greater choice for fans.”
