Aston Villa cap season ticket sales after record-breaking milestone reached
Aston Villa have announced a record-breaking 30,000 fans have purchased season tickets for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
The club have now capped the sale of season tickets in what's a first for recently-promoted side.
Previously, the most season tickets sold by Villa was registered in the 2008/9 campaign, in which the club finished sixth under Martin O'Neill, they sold 27,709 that year.
Fans keen to attend home matches this season are now being urged to take up Claret and Cub membership options - giving them priority access to tickets for the upcoming year.
Season ticket holders from the last campaign are being told to keep hold of their current cards, which grant access to home games. New ticket holders will have new cards delivered ahead of the season.
