Aston Villa 1 Ipswich Town 1: Player ratings
We rate the Villa players after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town.

Emi Martinez
Other than a couple of first half shots straight at him, didn’t have a lot to do except pick the ball out of the net.
Quiet 6
Andres Garcia
A decent defensive performance from the Spaniard, who does not look too out of place in the Premier League. Final ball was a disappointment.
Steady 6
Axel Disasi
Set up the big chance of the first half for Ollie Watkins but then beaten to the cross by Delap for the Ipswich goal.
Okay 6
Boubacar Kamara
The latest Villa player to pick up an injury during a game when he was forced off after just 15 minutes. That run needs to end soon.
Injured 6
Lucas Digne
Sacrificed at half-time as Unai Emery looked to get Villa more on the front foot. Didn’t seem to do a whole lot wrong in the first half.
Subbed 6
John McGinn
Caused trouble early on with some pinpoint passes out to the left flank. Tried to drive Villa forward but could not conjure a big moment.
Tried 6
Youri Tielemans
A frustrating afternoon for the midfielder, who saw a few too many passes intercepted. Kept going but it wasn’t his day.
Frustrated 5
Donyell Malen
Some really bright moments, particularly early in the game. But he saw a big chance go begging when he miskicked an inviting Ollie Watkins cross.
Moments 6
Morgan Rogers
Twice denied by Alex Palmer in impressive fashion, the first save in particular a brilliant reflex. Just didn’t seem quite on it.
Busy 6
Jacob Ramsey
Involved in a big talking point when he was hauled down by Axel Tuanzebe for the latter’s second booking. Replaced at the break by Rashford.
Replaced 6
Ollie Watkins
Failed to take the big chance of the first half but then showed impressive reactions to score on the rebound. Would have liked another big chance.
Goal 6
Substitutes
Tyrone Mings 6 (for Kamara, 16), Marcus Rashford 7 (for Ramsey, HT), Ian Maatsen 5 (for Digne, HT), Marco Asensio 6 (for Malen, 63) Subs not used: Bogarde, Jimoh, Zych (gk), Olsen (gk).
