Aston Villa poised to complete loan signing of Manchester United starlet Axel Tuanzebe

The clubs have agreed a deal which will see the 20-year-old move to Villa Park for the rest of the season.

It is anticipated the move will be rubber-stamped later on Thursday.

Tuanzebe is a product of United’s academy and has been tipped for a bright future.

Predominantly a central defender, he can also play at right-back and has featured on occasion as a holding midfielder for United’s under-23s.

Tuanzebe will become Villa boss Steve Bruce's first signing of the January transfer window and the second loanee from Old Trafford, after goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

Ritchie De Laet is the only first-team player to have left Villa this month, after joining Royal Antwerp on loan earlier in the week.
