Exclusive: Wolves make enquiry for Championship striker
Wolves have made an enquiry about a late move for Southampton striker Adam Armstrong, the Express & Star understands.
The club are assessing options to sign a new striker before the transfer window closes at 7pm on Monday, with Jorgen Strand Larsen still attracting interest ahead of a potential move.
Wolves will need a replacement if Larsen departs and have now explored a move for Armstrong.
The 28-year-old has attracted interest from a number of clubs and was not in Southampton's squad as they beat Stoke on Saturday.
It is understood Wolves have bid £7million, plus £2million in add-ons, for Armstrong.
Wolves have also looked at other striker options, including Torino forward Che Adams, as they brace themselves for more interest in Larsen before the deadline.
