Dave Edwards: Impressive Wolves debutant a dying breed
Watching Marshall Munetsi catch the eye on his Wolves debut was a little bit of a throwback.

I think everybody was impressed with Munetsi on his Wolves bow. He was playing very high initially, getting on the end of things, but then went to drop deeper.
It was quite refreshing to see someone breaking from the heart of the midfield, running beyond the strikers, to get into the box on the end of something.
It was the position I like to play but it is a dying breed in football, those box-to-box midfielders. It's great to see not only does he have the athleticism to do it, but his runs were clever as well.
The Zimbabwean has scored goals in his career so far, he managed a decent tally with Reims in France and you can see why. I think he could be a very important player for Wolves on that showing, especially in the second half of games.
He might have to come off the bench initially, to create that third man in midfield and to maybe chase a game as a more attacking option in a midfield two.
Deadline signing Munetsi showed the athleticism to get in there and the intelligence to get off the back of defenders. He was unlucky not to get a goal.
The head coach likes to play a holding midfield two. He talks about them being connected. It doesn't really allow for a box-to-box midfielder, though Joao Gomes likes to join in. I do feel Munetsi has the ability to do it, though.
It was very popular years ago. I liked to do it at the clubs I played with, but as the game has become more technical that sort of player is dying out a little bit.
It's exciting and when you have someone different like that it can be useful. As a midfielder I used to hate it when players tried to run off me. It can lead to indecision. I used to live for those moments, getting the wrong side of my opposition number.
Vitor Pereira showed a huge amount of respect for the competition, just as he did at Bristol City. He brought in changes but used strong squad players like Sam Johnstone, Santi Bueno, Joao Gomes after suspension, Rodrigo Gomes and Hwang up top.
I expected Wolves to win and show that intensity and desire and they did so. Blackburn started well enough, had the controversial offside goal - but no VAR helped Wolves this time!
Matheus Cunha's goal, Wolves' second, was top class. It was a nice move and a really clinical finish into that side netting again. Now the contract controversy is out the way let's hope Matheus continues to show why he's such a top striker in the Premier League.
Wolves were comfortable thereafter and made their changes to suit the squad.
I thought Toti was imperious again. I'm so happy to have him back available. New boy Agbadou beside him looks to be going from strength to strength. Guedes looks to me like he's getting better with Pereira in charge.
There are some tough games ahead followed by some key ones in Wolves' survival plight. Hopefully we can put points between the real strugglers and enjoy a nice little run in the FA Cup.
