Darts: Dudley ace wins thrilling Knockout final

The latest news from the local darts scene.

Dudley darts star Reece Colley emerged triumphant from a thrilling final to win the Ivy House Knockout.

Colley defeated Mick Baker 4-3 to claim the crown following a high-class contest in Coseley.

The champion had earlier overcome Michael Powell in the semi-finals, while Baker battled past Carl Sparrow.

Hotshots clinched the Coseley Friday Trebles title with an impressive final win over Darlaston Conservatives.

Their trio of Jack Aldridge, Jamie Hughes and Ryan O’Connor proved too strong for Cameron King, Martin Price and Luke Wildman.

Aldridge and O’Connor had also been on target earlier in the week to help Junction B move four points clear at the top of the Tettenhall Wednesday League.

Their 5-2 win over Irish Wolf saw the latter lose second place in the standings to Ashmore, who secured a crushing 7-0 victory over the Harrowby Arms. Codsall Bull remain fourth after an impressive 5-2 win at Moreton.

Staffs Knots now have a five point lead at the top of the West Midlands Super League after a commanding 5-0 win over Gilberts A.

Closest challengers Kings Head were pushed all the way by Junction A before emerging 3-2 winners against Junction A. The Dog and Partridge are still well placed following a 5-0 victory against Landywood.

Wins for Paul Bromley, Dean Fullwood, Ryan Bourne and Nick Skitt helped Wednesfield Legion stay top of the Wednesfield Sunday League as they eventually saw off the Tiger 4-2.

The Beehive edged past Lady T’s by the same scoreline, while there was a resounding 6-0 win for the Junction at the Ring of Bells.

Rich Newey, Mikey Harris, Paul Price, Phil Mayo, Mark Curley and Ian Stanton all claimed victories.
