The Baggies head coach described Mikey Johnston - who was a summer target for the league-leading Blades but decided on The Hawthorns - as having his best performance since returning to the club.

And he claimed Tom Fellows, who netted Albion's second half equaliser via a deflection, has bounced back from recent struggles.

"I saw Fellows making a very good game in attack, I saw the best performance of Johnston probably since he came back here to the club," Corberan told the Express & Star.

"I saw the team trying (to attack) but I cannot tell you I saw the team bad in defence. We have made a lot of pressing and trying to dominate them, in no moment they have dominated us.

"But it is true we didn't defend the box in a couple of situations in the first half and didn't manage either in some situations that allowed them to make finishes too."

"Exactly, for sure," Corberan said of his players repeating the level with the visit of Coventry on the horizon on Wednesday.

"We need to see, the last week we played three games in a row, when we played Sunderland after Norwich I didn't feel Johnston recovered well to impose his level well. So I need to evaluate very well how the level today affects the players to go again for the next game."

Corberan revealed he noticed academy graduate Fellows' recent struggles in games prior to the November international break and after working with the winger he saw a response against the Blades.

"I saw Fellows was having a difficult moment, the game of Hull, the previous games, he had a momentum with three or four performances which create difficulties for him," added the Spaniard.

"This is part of process of growing, when you beat the difficulty you find better solutions to impact the games. The goal has been the consequence of Fellows with more determination to finish attacks, this is a positive we need to keep."
