Bitesize Baggies: Brave West Brom, Swift chance taken & star winger more like old self
Albion put in one of their most impressive displays under Tony Mowbray - as they went toe to toe and earned a credible point at leaders Leeds.

Junior Firpo's ninth minute header was cancelled out by Darnell Furlong before the break - as Albion came back from an early blow to level.
They had other openings in the first half, and in the second half, despite having to keep Leeds at bay as they soaked up pressure, they had a go and pushed late on.
Jonny Drury looks at three key points from the game:
A Swift chance - did he take it?
The team selection unsurprisingly drew a bit of criticism, with John Swift added into the starting side.
Many saw possibly Ousmane Diakite coming in to aid the midfield against a potent Leeds attack, but Mowbray went for Swift, who he has built up in the press over the last few weeks.
He, by his own admission, probably hasn't been at his best this season, but it was another chance to show his new boss that he could do a job for him.
Did he take that chance? To a large extent, yes, he did. Swift picked up an assist for Darnell Furlong's equaliser, and played a hand in a lot of attacking moves certainly in the first half.
In the second, he faded a little after taking a knock and came off just after the hour.
But it was better from Swift, there is no doubt about that. Did he light the game up? No I wouldn't go that far, but it was better and he justified his selection. He's shown Mowbray what he can do, the challenge now is consistency.
And that is not something we have seen from the playmaker this season.
Sparkling Johnston - need to see it more now
From every early on in Yorkshire, you could see that Mikey Johnston was on it.
He was running at defenders, getting shots off, getting involved and his first half display certainly was arguably his best in some time.
He gave the full back the run around and was Albion's main danger for the majority of the time he spent on the field.
It was a pleasure to see and felt Johnston had almost more edge than he has had at times this season - more like the Johnston we aw last season while on loan.
The only thing was his performance didn't maybe get the goal or assist it deserved.
However, it was an encouraging sign to see him do it against the best side in the league. Like Swift, but not to as much of a degree, consistency has at times been a question this season.
He's set the bar now though, similar to where it was last season. That is what we want to see more often.
Brave, attacking selection, belief they can go to big sides and cayse them issues
A good point and a statement display
Mowbray said his line-up was going to be one that indicated he wanted to go and win the game, and he wasn't wrong.
A year ago, Albion would have gone into the game to set up, defend, maybe nick one on the break.
We saw that even before the opening Leeds goal, as Swift went closer to an opener with Albion trying to start on the front foot.
And throughout the game, Mowbray was rewarded for a brave selection because his side did look like they held a threat against the leaders, every time they got into the attacking third.
Yes, Albion had to soak up an awful lot of pressure at times, certainly later on in the game. That was a throwback to the defending under Carlos Corberan.
When Mowbray came in, he said he wanted to keep a lot of the good work Corberan had put in place defensively, but make Albion more attacking. At times we kind of saw that at Elland Road.
It was different to displays against bigger sides earlier this season, is that Albion were willing to have a go at every opportunity they got.
Chances didn't flow in the second half, but the intent was there and that was the most pleasing part.
They showed grit to dig in and not concede a late goal, when at times this season they have folded at the end.
And they kept having a go. Credit goes to Mowbray for throwing on the likes of Daryl Dike and Tom Fellows late on, with the latter almost carving out a chance.
We saw a display today that many predicted we wouldn't. The fact we're sitting going, we could have won that, says everything. It was another step in the right direction.
