Aston Villa fans learn ticket prices and sale dates for Europa League final
Club are heading to just their second-ever European final
Villa supporters potentially face paying more than £200 for a ticket for this month’s Europa League final.
Unai Emery’s men will take on German club Freiburg in Istanbul as they look to win the club’s second-ever European trophy.
Villa have been handed a general allocation of 10,758 tickets at the 42,000-seater Tupras Stadyumu, which includes disabled and easy access areas and some restricted views.
Prices are split into four categories with more than 1,000 in the top bracket, selling at a cost of 240 Euros, around £205.
A further 2,000 tickets are priced in the second highest category at 160 Euros (£140), with more than half the total allocation being priced in the far more reasonable third category at 65 Euros (£56) each.
The cheapest ‘Fans First’ tickets, meanwhile, are priced at just 40 Euros (£35), with nearly 2,000 of those available as part of Villa’s allocation.
Supporters wishing to attend the match must register their interest by Sunday May 10, with all tickets then being sold through the official Uefa ticket portal.
Season ticket holders who have attended 12 or more Europa League matches this season will get the first chance to buy, followed by those who have attended eight or more and then seven or more games in the competition.
Villa, meanwhile, have confirmed they will be operating a charter flight from Birmingham to Istanbul on the day of the final.
The £1,095 cost will include transfers to and from the stadium - with the return flight immediately after the match - but does not include a match ticket.
Villa reached the final courtesy of a 4-1 aggregate semi-final win over Nottingham Forest.
Captain John McGinn scored twice as Emery’s team won Thursday’s second leg 4-0 at Villa Park.
